Knitted Vest For American Girl Doll - Free Patern

This vest is a simple rectangle with "holes" for arms, adorn with very colorful buttons. I made one vest similar to this one for a Barbie doll and since I love its simplicity and the outcome, I decided to make one vest from my left over yarn for American Girl doll as well.

So, if your passion is knitting, make yourself a coffee or tee, take needles and some left-over yarn, sit down into a comfy chair and in one or two hours you may have a really nice gift for someone that owns AGD.

Material:
yarn medium #4 thickness (leftover - I used about 1/2 skein)
knitting needles #9
5 buttons
needle
crochet hook #D

Abbreviations:
CO - cast on
K - knit
P - purl
st(s) - stitches
RS - right side
WS - wrong side
YO - yarn over
K2tog - knit two together
BO - bind off

Gauge:
2" x 2'" = 12 rows x 8 sts
