Crochet Easy Lacey Bracelet With Pearl Beads - Part 2

Click on the image to enlarge it
In my last post, I shared with you a pattern of a very simple bracelet with beads (click HERE for that post). I also promised you that we will turn a Simple Bracelet into an Easy Lacey Bracelet, which will be more elaborate but still easy to make. You can make just one piece to use as a bracelet, or two pieces for lacy, romantic wrist warmers. Your choice.

I am also planning Part 3, where I'd love to build it even further - into Romantic Hand Covers - sort of like gloves, but the piece will cover the only top of the hands.

That is my plan, but for now, if you want to continue making "Easy Crocheted Bracelet - Part 2," you will HAVE TO start with multiples of 8 + 5. Therefore, you will need to start with either 37 sts (for a small/medium wrist), OR 45 sts (for a large wrist = 7"+ wrist). You will have to crochet 4 rows of Part 1. Then continue with the pattern that is written on this page below = Rows 5 through 7.
Part 1 (Simple Bracelet) is a base for Part 2 (Easy Bracelet), AND Parts 1 & 2 will be a base for a bracelet in Part 3.

Note: Most of the time I work as fast as I can to keep up with knitting and crocheting requests. I have to videotape, edit videos, then convert them & upload them to my channel. After that often I post on my blog patterns. I answer many questions, which means that often I work up to 16 hours a day. I would tremendously appreciate IF anyone of you who finds an error in the written pattern, so please, let me know - where (what rows) and what may be the problem. Many future knitters & crocheters from our artsy and crafty virtual world will thank you for your good deed, including myself.

Crocheted Earrings

I had a request for crocheted earrings. I decided to share with you my step-by-step instructions. They are not hard to make. However, since I was working with a very fine thread and tiny beads a good finger/hand dexterity is needed. They can be done in a couple of hours. They can make a great gift for a teenager or even a nice pair of earrings to match a special dress. Enjoy.

2 split rings 12mm
2 earings
18 beads
DMC thread - 2 colors of your choice
hook #4 (2mm)

dc - double crochet
st - stitch

Row 5 - start in the middle (3rd sts of first 5-sc part) - ch1, *[ch4, 1 sc into the middle of next 5-sc part] - repeat 9 more times  (note: the last sc will be placed into the same spot as first ch)
Row 6 - each 4-chain part will be worked on this way - *[2 sc, 2 dc, pull one bead up and sl st around it, 2 dc, 2 sc] - repeat from * 8 more times (total 9 beads in each corner/part); into the last (tenth part) crochet in the earring instead of your bead (= 2 sc, 2 dc, with the pointy part of the earring facing you put the hook through the earrings hole and sl st, 2 dc, 2sc) , then connect into circle with sl st.

Crochet Earrings For Beginners 2 >>> Hackovane Nausnice Pro Zacatecniky 2

I am not sure if any of you remember or perhaps saw in old photographs or movies belts made of metal circles that were crochet-ed around? I made one like that when I lived back in my old country. Today, per my daughter's request and her own idea, I created second set of earrings that resemble 60's fashion. They are quite easy to make. See below.

Material:
  • DMC cotton thread (made in France) - 3 different colors of your choice (or just one color if you wish - your choice)
  • Hook #10
  • 6 Twelve mm Split Rings
  • 2 Earrings Hooks
  • Needle
  • Scissors
Abreviations:

SC - single crochet
TO - thread over (instead of YO = yarn over) since we work with a thread
ch - chain
sl. st. - slip stitch

Step-by-step instructions:

Insert each earring hook into the each split ring. You will work on each earring one at a time. You have 4 more split rings - 2 extra rings for each earring.

1. Insert your crochet hook into the split ring (with the earring hook end pointing away from your body - to establish front of the earring), thread over (TO), pull through, TO, pull through the loop, ch1, [insert crochet hook through the opening in the split ring, TO, pull through, TO, pull through both loops - this is single crochet] - repeat many times until all your single crochet stitches are condensed and the metal of the ring doesn't show through. Finish with a sl. st. to connect the circle and weave the end into the crochet row so it doesn't come undone. Please, refer to this image  or this page on my blog, while crochet-ing single stitches in the first row.

 2. Do the same (= one row of single crochet stitches) on two other rings (use on each ring a different color if you wish) BUT this time leave the end about 5-7 inches long do not weave the end immediately to "clean it up". Instead use the end of a second circle to sew it onto the first circle then make a knot and weave it into the SC row of same color so the end is hidden (cleaned up) and does not untie. And at last sew the end of a third circle onto the second circle, and again make a knot and weave it into the SC row of same color so the end is hidden (cleaned up) and does not untie.

3. Repeat steps 1. and 2. for the second earring.

Below - a different color version

Cesko-Slovenske devcata, urcite nebudete mit problem to "vykoukat", takze pouze kratky popis. Jak je z fotek patrno, tak to jsou tri krouzky obhackovane kratkym sloupkem. Material je hackovaci bavlnena prize (zvolte svoje barvy). Potom jenom prisit kruzky jeden k druhemu a zacistit konce.

Crochet Earrings For Beginners >>> Hackovane Nausnice Pro Zacatecniky

Material:
  • Metallic Crochet Thread #10
  • Hook #7
  • 2 Twelve mm Split Rings
  • 2 Earrings Hooks
  • Scissors
Abbreviations:

YO - yarn over
SC - single crochet
DC - double crochet
ch - chain

Step-by-step instructions:

Insert each earring hook into the each split ring. You will work on each earring one at a time.

1. Insert your crochet hook into the split ring (with the earring hook end pointing away from your body - to establish front of the earring), YO, pull through, YO, pull through the loop, ch1, [insert crochet hook through the opening in the split ring, YO, pull through, YO, pull through both loops - this is single crochet] - repeat 17 more times (total 18 SC),  and sl. st. to connect the circle.

Note: keep the end of a thread around the ring so that you crochet SCs around both. This way you will not have to clean this end thread and the earring will not come undone.

2. Ch5, SC into third stitch - repeat 5 more times - instead of last SC make sl. st. To connect into the circle

3. Insert hook into the first loop of a flower and make [2 SC, 1 DC, ch2, 1 DC, 2 SC] - repeat on each loop, secure the end with last sl. st., cut off thread and weave the end into the flower to prevent it from coming apart.

4. Repeat steps 1. - 3. for second earring.

Note: If the flower stands away from the earring's hook too much, use a thread and sew (attach) the flower to the hook and weave the ends into the flower so they do not show or untie.

Now you have a nice hand made gift for someone special. Enjoy.
