How 2 Starch & Stretch Your Crochet Products >>> Jak Naskrobit A Vypnout Hackovane Vyrobky

It is very important that you stretch your products well. It is also important that you have a good starch mixture. I have my own way of making a starch liquid and stretching the crocheted items. I love when my products, such a snowflakes, are very stiff.

  • MY OWN STARCH RECIPE:

1 cup of water + small amount of cold water
1 TBSP corn starch

Boil 1 cup of water in a small sauce pan. In a cup, mix cold water  and 1 TBSP of corn starch. While pouring this mixture into the cup with boiling water, whisk vigorously, and while stirring cook for couple of minutes. You should end up with a very thick liquid.

  • MY OWN TECHNIQUE OF STRETCHING YOUR CROCHETED SNOWFLAKES, etc.
Wash your item. Dip it into the mixture and squeeze out the excess. Blow dry until almost dry. Dip it one more time into the starch mixture and gently squeeze out the excess of liquid. Lightly blow dry your item, such as snowflake, again. While the item is still damp, stretch it out. I usually use old white cotton sheet, smooth it out over the seat of one of my arm chairs, and stretch the snowflakes on the seat. I like to blow dry my snowflakes until all dry, so the pins do not rust on me. Please, see the image how to stretch the snowflakes.

SKROBENI A VYPINANI:

MAM SVOJI SPECIALNI TECHNIKU, KTERA MI VYHOVUJE

Uvarime si husty skrob. Vypereme nas vyrobek, ponorime do skrobu, vymackame a vyfoukame fenem do sucha. Naskrobime PODRUHE a vyfoukame fenem do skoro-sucha. Potom teprve vypneme spendlickama a vyfoukame do uplneho sucha - a budete mit celkem tuhou vlocku. Kdyz jsem to nechavala jenom dosusit samotne, tak se mi ten skrob asi nacucnul do rucniku a vlocka sice byla naskrobena, ale ne tak tuha... Vyse muzete videt obrazek jak vypinam moje vlocky.
